Keen home cook, ex-restaurant server, food blog addict and exceedingly cantankerous if I don’t eat at least every two hours, my life essentially revolves around food. This is compounded by the combined food restrictions of my partner, Jack, and I. I choose not to eat meat or dairy, while he is allergic to nuts, mustard, peas and curry. For health reasons, we try and follow an anti-inflammatory diet so we also avoid wheat, potatoes, tomatoes, corn and soy. Although we do cheat a little now and then.
Needless to say, we are not the most desired dinner party guests. Cooking at home, however, has become a pretty exciting, albeit frustrating, adventure. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
